I don't care if this is IPC but i just came back from the gym in a right rage..

Some bloke down the gym who I know is gay, was eyeing me up in the shower and raised his eyebrows at me (before you say anything i didn't notice if anything else was) and grinned.. Now he could see all my fruit and veg which I know ain't that much nowdays but I think this is wrong..

As far as I'm concerend, i'm like his opposite right? Well I'm not allowed to go into the ladies showers and give them an eyefull. That would be wrong but its ok for a gay bloke to solicit in the men changing room .. I think not..

In my days, he would have walked the plank with a little prod!!... but not my plank or prod - thank you.

I feel violated!!

Grrr

Would you feel upset if a woman was eyeing you up in such a manner?

In a way yes because if it were the otherway round that would be considered as sexual assault if i'm not wrong.. So, why would it be any different the other way round or to othe sexual preferences.

This actually raises a valid philosophical point:

In today's world of acceptable alternative sexual preference, does the traditional divide between male and female on issues of sexuality no longer apply? Such as seperate changing rooms, gyms, etc. If so, should this not also apply to seperate hetero men and homo men for the same reason?

my point exactly !!

I would have written just that if i'd had a GCSE!! :p

.. the fact is that this chap has an easy way of satisfying his sexual urges by seeing his prefered gendre naked by just having a shower in the local gym. Something hetrosexuals can't do..

2 points before you all pass judgement.

firstly, if i were prying into the ladies shower room for a gawp, i'd be arrested and branded a perv..

Secondly, the fact that the womens changing rooms in the same gym have seperate shower cabins suggests that my point is valid.

I am not prejudice in any way but i am against people who think they are an exception to moral rights and liberty..

My personal opinion on it?

...So as long as he didn't "try it on" so to speak I have to say that I'd have nothing to be wound up about. What if you hadn't noticed that he had seen you? What if all the men in the gym over the past 10 years have been eyeing you up and you hadn't noticed?

I think it's all a bit reactionary and a little sensationalist personally...

Sensationalist – No!
Reactionary – maybe?

That fact that he deliberately raised an eye at me as he eyed my "*** nots" was a clear indication that he wasn't in anyway trying to be discrete about his personal thoughts or intentions. On the contrary, he couldn’t have made it any more obvious if he’s tried and it was that that made me feel a little un easy and why wouldn’t I.

...I guess I don't let things like that bother me as much - I can't see you saying to him "kindly avert your eyes kind sir, as this behaviour is somewhat uncalled for..." it's just not Huddy-esque :p

Absolutely - just wouldn't suit me :D

..I thought dmp's comment summed it up very neatly.
I take it you disagree?

.. it's his opinion of which he is intitled to of course..

He's right, it isn't really important.. it's just annoying and disrespectfull.

LMAO!! :D

Kinda sad that some people think it's alright for you to physically assault someone for looking at them, even if it was in a pervy manner.

And big_white_84whatever, under the pretence that 84 is your birth year, it's a shame that someone 2 years younger than me could have such archaic values

where did you get the Physical Assault from ???

I think some of you are misunderstanding the point.. All i've said was that i felt uncomfortable... and i'm sorry, but who wouldn't?
