Hi, having missed out on the whole RE thing first time round, I thought I pick up the RE remake on Gamecube for a tenner and play it on my Wii and already I need some help :)

Firstly, is it possible to drop items without an Item Box? I foolishly filled up my inventory, and now I'm on low health and I can't pick up any green herbs lol.

Secondly, I know you're not supposed to kill the zombies and save ammo etc, but some of the narrow corridors its impossible to get round them. Am I missing a trick or should I just kill 'em?

Regarding items, once you have filled up your current case you can still pick up new items but you need to swap them with existing ones which will be lost. IIRC theres an area of space to the right of your case on the item select screen, any items left on that will be lost, freeing up space in your case.

Also don't forget that some items, mainly herbs, can be combined to free space (and provide extra uses).

As for killing the bad guys, when I last played it on the GC I think I was able to kill pretty much all the bad guys I came across. The game provides plenty of ammo throughout so as long as you are hitting things with each shot you should be fine.

If you chose to play on 'hard', make no mistake this is an incredibly tough game! Its hard enough on easy.

You can't drop items without a box (It took them until resident evil 0 to figure that one out), and I would suggest shooting the kneecaps.

However, due to the limited bullets you will recieve if on hard... lol good luck :o

Cheers, but I think you're thinking of a different game, RE4 perhaps? :)

Ta - I'm playing on easy (I think - I chose hiking rather than mountaineering anyway :p )

The area's you go through more often than the other i would kill the zombies in order to get them out your way, I wouldn’t bother with the ones in arrow hall tho.

Enjoy one of the best games on the cube :D

Make sure you burn em when you kill em :D otherwise you'll get a nasty surprise in about an hour or so ;)
