Any opinions on this cover system? Its supposed to be a first person system (probably like time crisis :D ) but i'm not sure if crysis needs it tbh.

The one in the vid was just for the AI it seemed..? Able to use whatever cover they find for situations.

To be honest, not much we havnt seen already if you ask me. It just depends how it is implemented. For example, "procedural destruction" - he shoots out some glass windows. Now, everyone seen glass being shot in-games, HL2 makes a pretty good job of material types having their own properties. But if Cryengine 3 is doing what HL2 does with materials without using a programmer or artist then that is pretty smart.

The hit reactions are a welcome addition of which we should have seen sooner. SoF had decent hit reactions, but I've been thinking its time we reach the next step. I'm talking about proper ballistics. I suppose the issue with that is how do you keep it realistic and keep the gameplay fun. Can't exactly have the player getting shot in the leg and limping his way to the end...
