GDDR4 GDDR5 GDDR6 What's the difference

Motherboard doesn't know, and cares even less about graphics card's memory...
Which aren't used for CPU, because of CPU demanding low latency not available from GPU optimized G(raphics)DDR.
 
Z370 motherboards use DDR4, not GDDR4. RAM that you install on the motherboard is not the same as graphics memory (GDDR).
 
Those are different types of vRAM. The higher the number the faster the memory. The motherboard and CPU don't care what type it is as it's all on the graphics card.
