I'm not great, but I wouldn't say I was crap. I mostly have a positive Kill/Death spread with a decent amount of points, rarely finish bottom. Also, yes, these are public games.

That's totally wierd then. I haven't played it an awful lot but am on about 14 now. What type of games are you playing? I mostly play annex/KOTH so there's plenty of chance to rack kills up as you respawn. If you're playing execution then you probably won't get as many kills. You should still have progressed from 1 like
