Noob here so please be gentle:)

Got a cheapy e-bike with a rear gear with`super low 14-28`printed on the cog
i am finding the gearing too`low?`i.e. i have to pedal like hell to go fast
Would i just need to change out the rear cog/gear to make it so that i would not have to pedal as fast to get the same speed?
or would it involve new chain and deraileur and front cog/pedal?
ignore that is has a motor as it is only the `mechanical` aspect i am asking about :)
Thanks

14-28 is definitely not low, doubly so for an e-bike. My bike is running 10-30 on an e-bike I'd want at least a 34 on the front with a 10 on the back.
Sorry I said I was a noob.do you mean that my gearing is better than yours?
I can only Pedal at a max speed of 20 mph and want to increase that if possible while pedaling less.....if that makes sense:)

yeah once i get up to speed with motor, then turn it off i can not get more than 20mph on the flat.My legs are going like the clappers and i can`t pedal any faster
Even not using the motor i can pedal up to 20mph,hard yes but not impossible

Will see if there are any details on the front cogs once it warms up :D
EDIT counted 42 teeth on the front largest cog.looks like a few are `chipped/smaller`:(
bike still pedals ok though

Thanks jonny
Changing the rear wheel is a no no as it has the motor inside
The bike is working fine as is,i was just wanting to get a better speed with less revolutions of pedal
Looks like i will not mess with it
Thanks again to all who replied :)
