Gears 5..anyone still play?

Owned this when i had a series s and gamepass but just bought it for the pc as LOVED the game, havent played for a year but just had a quick go on multiplayer and did ok, only had like 6 kills lol but didnt die at all,
did they nerf the shotgun in this by any chance? as i couldnt do a one shot exploding kill for the life of me,it was taking 2 shots minimum to take people out with it,
also are there still many people playing this and if yes when is the best times to play? i ask as it took over 3mins to find a game and used to be much quicker when i played before.

Anyone else still play this amazing game?

I played it on release and through a couple of patches. The game peaked when Free for All was implemented as an 'event' and then the player base took a nose dive after it ended. The patch that followed (where they put the game mode in with the main playlists) made queue times insanely long across all game modes, some streamers were waiting like 10 - 15 minutes for games and constant server disconnects. I think the people that are left are the the die hard fans.

Personally, the gnasher issue is what made me stop playing as well as people dropping out of games and the slot not being filled. The gnasher saw a big change to its spread, they made it narrower instead of a splash, which improved things a little, like you've said in your post, 1 -2 shotting people is possible now, but before the changes, it was numbers like 3 - 5 hits and people were still bouncing around .

Haha cool, i have had a few more games on it now and i still love this game, sometimes it dosnt take long to get matched up but other times it does, guess it depends on the time of day
one thing i know for sure is though, im not as good as i used to be lol
