Looks a nice improvement over gears 1, looks like the scale of battle has increased and lighting is defiantly improved. Didnt notice any texture popins like with the last UE3 engine, perhaps its sorted now (or maybe a dev trick), that was one of biggest gripes about that engine. Still dont know any other details on the gameplay yet apart from whats shown in the trailer, but the game looks very smooth. Its going to be an interesting run up to Christmas this year

Ye Gods, as far as visuals go that has to be close to the best I've seen on a console game I think.
Makes quite a suprise to me, as I'm a miserable old sod who isnt impressed with much
