Gears of war 2 Multiplayer update.

Just a little update for those of you , like myself, who have gears 2 collecting dust somewhere. I all ways loved this game online and off. The trouble on its release was that it was laggy as hell, flawed with a massive host advantage as well as taking around 6 months to actually find a game. Bad times indeed.

Thank god for the latest patch is all im going to say, the game online is totally a different experience now! Though this may seem a pointless thread its a basic heads up to you guys out there who loved the game but simply couldnt cope with the BS online. My advice is give it another shot now and see the improvement

Last update was Tu6 which introduced Social matches.

Not quite sure when this was updated but as the person above says it has also introduced social matches as well as the ability to join friends who are allready participating in a hoarde match. Honestly a great game now the lag has been sorted ^^

Has the lag really been sorted?
I fancy going back to this. I always loved the game online but the lag killed it for me. Sure I expect some but if it's much better I will pick up a second hand copy.

Rest assured it has been made a hell of a lot better. Not going to lie to you roughly 1 game a night will go back to old habits, lag etc but apart from tht its how the game should have been released. Give it a try and post back its well worth the money.

I gave this another bash recently, and its really very good. I bought the uber map pack on the cheap as well and the new maps add a lot to it. Good for a slower paced game, although the games do take a while to finish (about 20 mins unless one team gets pummeled).
