Gears of War 4 Crash

So I downloaded Gears 4 from the Microsoft store, Went to play it and for some reason it crashes seconds after launching, Windows and all drivers are up to date, I've tried with CPU, Ram and GPU at stock settings and still no luck.

Out of the 100+ games I have installed, Including others from the MS store, This is the only 1 that refuses to work, Anyone seen this before or know of a way to validate game files like you can on Steam ?

Assuming you tired complete reinstall of it? Friend had this at launch and was only way he could fix it.

I had a similar issue with Forza 7 and might be worth trying the same solution, go to services and make sure Windows Push To Install has started

At the moment I'm on a 10Mb line so re-downloading 120GB+ is a pain in the rear, Shame MS haven't put in a validate files feature like Steam.

This happens to me. I solve it by going to the Microsoft Store, install any small app (like Facebook app or something), then try launching Gears again. Works everytime. If it starts happening again, uninstall Facebook app, re-install it again. Gets Gears going everytime. Weird issue but it works.

Is it me or is the game very short? I play a few hours here and there and it seems like I completed the game in a week. And the end of act 5 boss was disappointing nothing like an end of game boss

It was short also not very good so I was glad in this case it ended up being short

You need to first update the Xbox app. Go into MS Store & Update Xbox App so it says: 41.41.18005.0

Also looks like MS are back to gimping PC versions. X1X version with HDR & all the latest GOW4 fixes looks a lot better than PC (same mediocre gameplay though). If you already own on PC you can also download the Xbox One version as its a Play Anywhere title (you own the game on Win 10 & Xbox One).
