Gears of War 4 on PC and XBox One S

I have an XboneS and the GOW4 xbone version(disk, not the digital code), but want to use the PC version using the digital code - as pretty much i only use the xbox to play GOW4.

Want to know what will happen if a get the digital code for the PC? What will happen to the console version? and the achievements and stats etc of GOW4? WOuld the 2 games be merged and I can still hae the same stats in the PC as the console or would it be a new game version on the PC?

Its a Play Anywhere title. This also means same achievements list on PC & XB1 so it will continue where you left of on XB1 or PC you can still switch between the 2 platforms the save games get synced via the MS Azure Cloud for Xbox. That digital code also means you get the digital version on XB1 when you use it.

Thank you, i am going to try it with the xbox game pass(14 day trial) as GOW4 is free with it.

So are another 14 PC games free with it as well in fact even the latest Forza is free on PC anything MS publish is part of the scheme.

Seems so - well at least with game pass it is.
Just tried the PC version of GOW4 and it does work with same stats as on Xbone, but i cant get used to KB & Mouse combo, feels the xbox controller is faster for some actions like active reloads and cover but KB&Mouse better for aiming!
Next i am going to try the Xbox controller on PC.
