Gears of War MP.

I don't think it's very good, however I really enjoy it.

There's something very satisfying about blowing people in to pieces with the shotgun.
 
Don't like it personally, doesn't seem to be much skill involved, most of the time it seems to degenerate into running around in circles infront of eachother spamming shotgun until someone gets a lucky hit. To be honest the GoW gameplay just doesn't suit a PvP environment.

Yup, i especially liked how in the first few weeks the chainsaw seemed to have a hoover effect and could suck you in from several feet away. :o

Looked good from the vids but actually playing it got incredibly boring.

I personally loved the shotgun headshots from miles off and how easy tag grenades were :p

Grenades tags were annoying as hell as well, i musta played the game online for a total of maybe 2 hours before consigning it to the turd bucket.
 
Should have been so much better... Host shotgun is a joke, the boomer hits people right between the eyes and sometimes fails to do a pea shooters worth of damage, the torque bow fails to blow up half the time once it's stuck in your opponent, you run past a wall trying to get away and get stuck on it, you get chain-sawed from 5 feet away, shoot someone in the back from point blank range and they just turn around and kill you, too many glitches, too much lag, high ping, and the list goes on. Apart from that i like it :)
 
that sums it up exactly, I could never play it seriously. If I go in just to muck about and not expect to win then I quite enjoy it. Not a patch on other shooters though.
 
Not a big fan. I sucked too much at it so spent most of the time spectating. They need a respawn mode (which is available in GoW2 apparently)
 
I was playing Co-Op with a guy thats become a good friend of mine in the states. I have 2mb DSL and the official Wireless dongle and the game was so laggy it made me want to cry. :(

You'd think paying for live we'd get some dedicated servers but no we don't and I feel cheated. As you only need one person with a bad conection and it scews everything.
 
Met a guy who joined my Co-Op game he helped me kill Ramm, became good m8's and we are currently doing sll the campaign modes to collect achievements and for the fun. Great game
 
I enjoyed it despite all the glitches/problems. Its a decent game, but it was just disappointing that it was let down by being rushed out for Christmas.

One thing that was missed immensely was a lobby system, I mean to switch a game type/map rotation you had to boot everyone, set up the game and then invite them again? Kind of pathetic if you ask me considering Epic made their money by developing MP games =/
