Gears Of War ... Product Key Question???

OK .. so I've recently done Bioshock, Crysis (on my old rig) and have just finished COD4 on my new rig so I feel that another game is called for after all this cash has been outlayed

and ... I go and grab gears of war from Woolies and take it home. Great methinks an hour or so ago - time to fire it up so after a very slow installation process and then going through yet another sign up process I get to the 'enter the key' bit and lo & behold I do not find a key on the case, on the booklet, on the cardboard cards with the free live access for 1 month code etc ....

So, where is the product key meant to be? I will go back to Woolies and get another retail box as a replacement if I have to .... but I may just be avin a blonde moment

The product key is on a label stuck to the inside of the case above the CD holder. If it's missing then I'd say some thieving git has just nicked the label out of the case on display. Take it back and asked for a sealed copy if you can...

Makes sense ... In my rush to pay & go (other things to do!) I just took the bag & went. And in my rush to install & play I now do not recall removing the plastic covering from the case so yeah it has probably been removed!!! :mad:

Bah!!! Humbug ... etc. Now, I'll have to wait till the kids go to bed tomorrow night before I can crank it up

That key is only for live access which you don't need for single player IIRC. You can still create an offline profile and play the single player campaign without the need to enter a key I think. Obviously this is a temporary solution until you exchange the game tomorrow.
