Well, my first game completed on the 360! Really enjoyed it, but I was really surprised when I realised I had reached the end... is it just me, or was this a short game?

Having spent a number of hours on this game, my aim has improved using the thumbstick, but I do wish there was greater control of sensitivity for looking. I find "normal" too sensitive and "low" too unresponsive.

The things that some complain about witht this game, such as texture pop-in, did not really bother me. And occasional drops in frame rate did not bother me nearly as much as it would have on PC. Could it be to do with the distance from the screen?

I often don't find any appeal in playing a game through more than once, but think I will be doing so here :)

So, is there any word on a sequel? And what other games are about that are like this?

It's downfall was how short it was yes, I completed it three times so it didn't seem to small in the end :p

Reminds me, are people going back to GOW MP?? Alrik sent me an invite and saw Ammocity on it too. We'll have to bump the GOW o'clock thread :D

I got an invite from Kreeeee last night, I thought it was for Halo 3 so ignored it :p Then I realised it was for GoW when they had stopped playing that and went to Halo!

I donwloaded the new maps and still haven't tried them so I'd be up for some GoW at some point.

I went back to it a few weeks ago and I adapted back to it quite well although it was a lot more frustrating getting stuck on things!

It was a one minute wonder by the looks of things (Although I would have quite happily played it for the rest of the night). People started getting bored and it was way glitchier then when we all used to play it a year ago.

A new one is getting stuck on the spot for no apparant reason and when that happens you're basically screwed.

I've never known a game get more and more buggy as they update it to "fix" it :p

Yeah, I remember when they released a patch and you got stuck on more things. Sucks.

Annoying really as we would have played it longer if they could be bothered to iron out the problems, it's been out bloody ages too!

But this one I got you actually get stuck on the spot and I couldn't move or shoot at all so I was basically a sitting duck until somebody killed me =/

I will put it this way, I don't have high expectations for Gears of War 2 after experiencing all the problems with this game and all I can hope for is that they actually include a decent lobby system this time opposed to the pile of crap we got with this one

Yeah was wondering the same as Andy as I saw a few people including Alrik playing it over the weekend, would be good to have a game again sometime, we played it nearly every night for weeks.

Problem with gears of war is that it felt like you NEEDED to coop with someone else at points. For example when fighting the final boss, doms average lifespan was around 5 seconds. This is all very well and good if you've got a gold live account however for those with silver or those playing on the pc (like myself - coop was pretty much broken on the pc unless you got a gold account) it became a huge problem.

As soon as i managed to get a friend to help me out, the final boss dropped nearly instantly (this is in hardcore).

The only worry is how rushed it will be, Microsoft will be beating them daily for a game they desperately need.

They can take as long as they want really. The engine is already there, a lot of the assets and music is there too, so the building blocks are already well in place.

I bet you kingsize yorkie (can you eat those) that after release they say they were rushed to get it out :p

The multiplayer in gears needs a lot of work even if the building blocks are in place for the single player.
