I'm tempted to get this aswell as CoD4 on friday :x

Im VERY VERY tempted to buy this, one concern is online play. Do I need to pay a second fee to microsoft ? or is that included in the game ? I heard you need gold membership or something along those lines.

You dont need to pay to play online on the PC version. You only need to pay if you want achievements and other not really worth it features.

Thats it then! screw you Microsoft and your £40, I will stick to basic's and just shooot shooot shoot.

1 more question. If I buy a 360 pad for the old PC, will gear's of war be easier / nicer play or will the old WASD do the tricks better?

I'd say it's more a matter of what you are used to.

yep, all cotrols have been saved, plug in and the config cuts out all recoil and makes AI easier.

But on Gears Of War it is a Dx10 feature.

If I remember rightly, the written review says:

Everything the 360 game was and more

If someone could check that for me id be most appreciative. For some reason I can only access the OcUk foums at the minute via my rubbish student accomodation internet.

As for the quote, if it truly is everything & more, then why GameSpot, have you scored it lower than the 360 version?
