Ugh, its one of those mornings. So I'm running a little late so I figure I will drive to the station to save a bit of time... you can see where this is going.
Edit: I should probably mention the car is a Mondeo Mk3 at some point.
Parked up fine, changed into Park (its an auto, I know, I know) and the gearstick basically imploded in my hand. The button you push in to change gear has come shooting out, the cable (which looks like a 3 pin fan cable you'd get on a PC) has come out the bottom, and it looks like I've just had a hulk moment and pulled it all apart. I would supply pictures but of course I didnt have my phone with me, because it never rains but it pours.
So any attempts at putting it back together have failed completely, I'm guessing in the implosion something has broken that means I'll need a new one. Car is now stuck in park, and a quick google is yielding few results. Apparently there is a manual override that will let change gears and get the car back home but do you think I can find the owners manual.
Before I get on the phone and make the worlds most pathetic RAC call, anybody help?
