GeForce 177.41 WHQL for GT200's up at Nvidia

As Title, im ******* shocked here, another WHQL driver for their GTX's already which hasn't taken 6+ months to appear.

Will work on other cards to more than likely, just add your card into the .inf.

Yes they are. Especially considering the G92 cards are virtually the same as the G80 cards.

They are doing Physx for every card that supports CUDA, which is all the 8 series and up.

It was all over their own bulletins on the web that they will "later" support the G80.

I would guess a 8800GTX and Ultra can do more than the lesser G92's with the raw power they have.

The raw power G80 has is not in the shaders, it's in the bandwidth and raster operations, G92 is faster in terms of raw shader power (mostly due to higher stock clock speeds).

Edit: I say that because CUDA only runs on the shaders.

Yup but the GTX and Ultra are still higher spec'd than the GT and GTS 512 AFAIK (not sure on 9800GTX) Shader wise.

Actually the GTS has more shader power than the 8800 Ultra (same amount of shaders, higher shader clock). The GT only has 112 shaders and is slightly behind the GTX shader-wise.

Go on then, since ive benched the betas and the last whql, ill run some tests on these too while i watch the footie
