the new physx wont come in a driver, it will come in a new release of the physx libraries

You still need the drivers to support it for the card.
The drivers so far do not support it on the G80.

G80 PhysX is supposedly coming sometime in July.
Im hoping once its officially released that it will work with all Physx games. Really want to try Cellfactor again with Physx on.

im pretty sure they have CUDA running on the G80 drivers, which is all physx needs, surely...

Yeah they support CUDA, but as said above, the PhysX drivers (which you need, and which are done in CUDA) are not done yet.

What i'm saying is, everybody jumps on new driver releases asking if G80 physx support is working, but a driver update will never cause that to happen...
It isnt the driver that needs to change, its the physx libraries
if g80 support comes, it will not need newer drivers

You need both a Driver and the Physics Install "NVIDIA PhysX".
The 2 Drivers so far with Physics (also need the Physics install "NVIDIA PhysX") are not supporting G80's, only G92 with Mod .ini and officially GT200's.
If that was the case I could get it to work on my card, I even tried tricking it using Rivatuner to make my card appear as a G92.

with the g92, any CUDA supporting driver works for nvidia physx
These are very dodgey with a 8800gt with modded inf just had 30 mins of madness with them on rfactor crashing randomly mosiac patterns direct x9 problems the lot,i know they are not meant for the gt but had to be tried so word of warning to people.

Might try these now as ive sorted me 800x600 4bit colour problem, i just did a reinstall of windows and now the problem is gone, got the 175.19's on now working fine, where as before when i tried them, i got stuck in the old 800x600 4bit, so bugger knows what a reinstall has done.
