Hi there,

I've got an ancient GeForce 3 on an old machine I'm setting up for LANning. Unfortunately, as the machine has been reformatted, I've lost all my overclocking programmes for the card, and it's now running slow. I've tried the regedit programme from somewhere, but it didn't work/install properly.

Anything else I can do, save buying a new card?

Thanks for all the responses. I am going to be trying some of the recommendations out this weekend.

To answer another question: I mean it's slow, graphically. Basically this machine used to be able to run NWN at top whack. It could also do WOW flawlessly at the middle-ish resolutions. After the reformat, however, even NWN is sluggish (at best) on the lowest settings. :(

One of the main reasons I don't go for nvidia cards.

Support pre-FX is flaky, you'll need to roll back until you can find a release that works.

Fantastic support for people who, once upon a time, paid £200 for these cards.

ATi still have a similar issue with the Catalysts, they dont support pre-9xxx cards anymore.
