well untill i get the new pc im stuck with the old one......

now i only play delta force blackhawkdown, but if i turn all the settings on max, the game stutters is choppy and laggy.

now this shouldnt happen as it supposedly runs fine on an 800mhz with a geforce mx, yet i have

athlon xp 2100

asus 333 mboard

512mb ddr 333 ram

7200k hdd

geforce 4 ti4600 128mb gfx

so overkill for the game......

any ideas why its so choppy ??

would psu matter, my original one blew up so i bought another one thing it was 280w or something low....

cheers

Could be the PSU, 280W is a bit low (especially on an unknown brand which I assume it is). More likely it is one particular setting that is slowing it down. Start with everything on low, then put each slider from minimum to maximum and restart until you find the source of the slowdown.

Might be something like too much AA on a ti4600...

To be honest, as it is an old game/system this is part guesswork, but that is how I would find the culprit.
