I bought this new card recently, once i fitted it in and connected it to my monitor it stays in power save mode. However soon as i put back in my 4670 it works again. What is the problem guys?

For advice on what to try, read my thread "Weird GTX460 OC problem"

Mind you, at least I get output from the graphics card, even if it isn`t for very long.

100% needs both connectors. You haven't even booted in to windows have you? so drivers will not be the problem. You can enter the bios by repeatedly hitting the appropriate key, usually delete or F2 as your PC boots up, try reseting to bios defaults.

Im not sure if i can get into windows, because when i turn the pc on my screen stays in power save mode. I have a 2 yr old dell motherboard surely this sint the problem as long as it has a pciE slot?
