Looking to upgrade from my 1.5gb 580 at some point this year but not sure on what the best option would be or if I should wait for newer cards?

Ability to easily handle 1440p is a requirement and would prefer to stay with Nvidia as I have the 3D vision kit.

I think that if I was to upgrade now my best option would be SLI as other than the insanely expensive Titan I dont think there are many single cards that would cut it without having to upgrade again in the near future? The other problem I may have is that I'm not sure if my Corsair HX850 would need upgrading for SLI.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
 
well hx850 should be fine to handle 2x670 possible 2x680. as for waiting last I check Nvidia 7 series cards are not out until 2014. as for what version of cards to go for you want to get the 4gb over the 2gb cards if you going to 1440p so 2x670/680 4gb.

myself facing same problem being my 560ti 1gb wasn't cutting it @1080p with most new game either getting glitches or having to tone down the setting I opt for 7950 they oc insanely well and price was too good to past up @ £224 instead of £275.
