Was wondering whether a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780Ti WindForce card will run 4k gaming without issue? and if so, can anyone suggest a decent gaming 4k monitor for around £400?

Depends entirely on what you mean by "without issue". Crysis 3 for example will run without issue at medium/high settings but won't be 60fps constant.

Old(er) games will be fine (assuming they support the resolution) and pretty much every current game will run albeit not at max settings / 60fps.

Well what's your exact situation and budget? The 780ti is an excellent card still but even the new Titan X isn't going to run 4k without problems. Have you bought it or have you been offered it?

Ive got the 780ti now.
Need to get a new monitor and wanted to move towards 4k if affordable. I could probably stretch to £450 max. But is it worth it? Shall i wait till i can afford to SLI and buy a cheaper monitor for now?

Moving to SLI on 780ti's for 4k now is a bad investment. They will bottleneck on vram in most newer games.

If you want 4k,wait for the 390x/cut down titans.

Alternatively you could just move to 1440p with the 780ti?

The trouble is that your 780 will run out of VRAM pretty quickly at 4k, particularly as new games are released. I can't help but feel your whole premise of going sli in the future is flawed. You might be ok with a ROG Swift as a medium term solution but it's 1440p not 4k

it rly is!
you might be able to get away with it playing old games or games like league and hots tho
anything not crazy gfx demanding

LoL is terrible at 4K. Yes it looks good but the UI/HP bars/menu is tiny and afaik theres been no word from Riot to patch it to support 4K resolutions. Theres quite a few threads on this on the riot forums too.

ah ok, tho the only important bit is the minimap
but yeh a lot games are that way still lol

the minimap has terrible scaling as well. they appear almost like dots on the map. cant tell what champ or from friend or foe.

edit: its a shame coz it does look goodat 4k. but they need to fix the ui scaling and stuff

This is an option.

as suggested this looks good. Only problem is it looks like its a Mini HDMI if im correct? I want to be able to play my ps4 through this monitor also but dont fancy using a convertor

The link posted just throws up a 404 error,i assume you mean the ROG swift?

Gsync requires Display port to function, the swift doesnt have any other connectors.

Theirs a benq 1440p/144hz monitor that has multiple inputs(could have your PC and PS4 both hooked up at the same time)

YOUR BASKET
1 x BenQ XL2730Z 27" FREESYNC 144Hz Gaming Widescreen LED Monitor - Black/Red £499.99
Total : £509.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

It doesnt have Gsync however
