geforce 7900GTX and DirectX 10

will the 7900GTX be able to use directX 10?

because i read somewhere (on gamespot i think it was) that there isnt a card out that can use directX 10..... is it true..........

seeing as how direct X 10 is not even out yet no one can answer that for you.

I doubt it, but considering games are already being made using DX10 they must have hardware capable of testing it otherwise they would have very little time to test the game before releasing it.

It's not DX10 compatable, it'll emulate DX10 games in DX9.

But there's no guarantee when they'll be out, DX10 is coming with Vista, which isn't out untill 2007... So it might just be worth getting the 7900 now.
