Hi all!

Looks like there's a lot of intelligent people here!

I have just made a jump from a 24inch HP monitor to a 34 inch.

Plugged in the same way (Display port to HDMI cable) and my screen looks really blury!

Do you think the graphics card cannot handle it? I have set it to 1920x1080 at the moment and that looks the best.

What's the best fix? Any recommendations welcome.

It's kind of supported but not designed for that res. Have you tried to change the res to see how 1440p might look?

I have just reset the monitor.

Windows says my resolution is 3440 x 1440 (Recommended), However the message from the display says that
"The screen is not currently set to the recommended resolution. Confirgure the PC res to 3440x1440/60hz.

Current resolution: 1720x1440/60Hz
Reccommended resolution: 3440x1440/G60Hz

I do very minimal gaming - occasonally CS 1.6! :D

However, i do some photoshop/illustrator work.

Around the £100 mark? I am not sure what budget will be as i'm not sure how much they go for tbh..

Monitor has DP so a small DP connection will be perfect.

Can't link to sites like that here mate, but a 760 might work. Check the supported resolutions but should be fine.

Oops! Sorry. It does say it supports up to 4k resoluions on the DP.

I have just connected my Macbook Pro with retina - and seems to be ok on the large 1440p display. So it must be my graphics card. bugger!
