Geforce 8800 GTS 512 SLI problems...

Hi

I have Just started getting a problem with my GPU(s)

The dual 8800 GTS cards run fine on their own, but game screens have a slight flicker when running in SLI.

I have tried older drivers, and going through the game settings, but have not fixed the problem.

(All hardware drivers are up-to-date)

Any ideas?

I have this with my system. It is my monitor that is doing it, not my gpu.

My monitor is 5 years old and has been doing it for about 2 years now, but you can barely notice it.

How old is your monitor, what monitor is it etc...

It is a benq. Only about a year old, if that. The flicker only happens in dual gpu mode

Wouldnt just jump on it and say vram

Seen 8800'd handle most of todays games, with fps loss ofc but generally it runs the game, and i suspect menu system is the least of its problems.

There are newer WHQL drivers than 285 available.. Although not sure they'd help.

Worth a try first I guess.

Check the bridge. SLI bridges are cack.

Clean the contacts of the cards and refit the bridge.

I had a similar problem with my old 8800 sli set up and it was the bridge that caused the flickering.
