GeForce Experience dodgy settings

Anyone else use this and notice how dodgy it tells you to 'optimise' your settings? Like Dark Souls 3, it tells me to drop the resolution and most things to medium, yet at 1200p max it runs fine. Telling me to put everything to ultra on Witcher 3 which would be fps suicide on my rig.

I do this the DSR it offers for Diablo and Skyrim though.

Quick question: Can you take screenshots through Shadowplay?

I don't use it simply as it's suggestions are often daft, under using the 980ti's abilities.

However, for Joe Bloggs with a slapped together rig. It's good as it auto setups the game. Meaning they'll more often than not get the best settings for their rig.

As it seems to be so inconsistent with it's suggestions I prefer to rely on each games own quality settings starting at the maximum and then dropping if necessary to obtain a decent frame rate.

I like it more than I used to, though often I will simply select my settings as per usual in game rather than rely on it to advise me. My main gripe with it is how sluggish it can be; disabling UAC improves its responsiveness considerably, though I understand that isn't necessarily a good solution.

UAC is a load of tripe, it causes more trouble than it saves.

You don't need to use geforce experience for enabling dsr, just do it through the normal control panel.

Never install any of that crap. Just a waste of precious memory and cpu cycles in my opinion.

I only use Geforce Experience for ShadowPlay, it's settings suggestions are horrifically inconsistent.

If I could have ShadowPlay without having to deal with GE I would be so happy!
