Is this software still the massive sack of spuds it used to be a few years ago?

Id like to record video shorts of around 5-30 seconds of warzone 2 which did work well in the past with Geforce experience but it would also cause slowdowns and game lag at least on a 1080ti and 2080ti. I uninstalled it be because it was just something else to go wrong.

Has it got any better or improved on modern hardware to the point if it being used and not causing problems?

So Geforce experience is still still gonads, what else (if anything) is good a screen recording - as in always records, press a key / combination to capture the last 30 seconds.
It's do-able on PS4 so would habe thought it possible on a desktop pc thats about 5x the power?!

I use it for screen recording and easy driver update.
No issues here.
Do I care for them collecting my data.? Not at all. Windows already does it anyway and so do my phones , tablets and smart speakers at home.

Nowt wrong with shadowplay. You can also use OBS buffering or Windows/Xbox DVR.

I used to use it for the game filters, upping contrast and brightness etc or sharpness in game.

Even used the inbuilt overclock once which reset every time a game crashed!

Also used it to stream games to the Nvidia Shield downstairs.

Not had it installed for a couple of years now and haven't missed it.

I've been using it since the 2070 Super for game recording and for that it works perfectly with no slowdowns. There should be no slowdowns on an RTX card anyway at least as the video recording uses dedicated video encoders not the GPU 3D side of things anyway. I record at 70Mbps 60fps native res (3440x1440 or 5160x2160 if DLDSR. Works flawlessly. Usage tracking is a non-issue. You are being tracked much more by other things you use every moment of every day (Microsoft, Google etc).
