GeForce GTX 295

I don't think ever been around in particularly high volumes due to the high price point. But I reckon the main reason is that NVidia are about to release the gtx 295 respin, the same card, but using a single PCB instead of two in a sandwich. This new board is likely to be cooler (better overclocking) and cost less to make (may retail cheaper). As they are supposed to be released in mid-May, you would be best waiting a week and getting a new card then.

they have had supply issues for quite a while now. Honestly unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket I would not buy one right now. Wait for the next version of the cards direct x 11

Yea, I was thinking of getting a gtx295, but the gt300 really is looming now. My plan is to get a gtx 285 in a month or so from EVGA, then when the new gt300 cards come out i'll "step up" with EVGA to the new flagship card.

Damn it would be a shame to get one now then. Im not really updrading for any particular reason other than I feel like it. Crysis is the only game that I cant play. Even at that it plays but not the way id like it to.

I shall wait.

If you still have a nice gaming experience then just hold on at least till until there is somethign concrete about release dates for the next gen of cards.

Maybe buy a 260/275/4890 and then either put another one in later in the year or sell it and buy a dx11 card. Yor probably won't make a HUGE loss if you do that.

Well maybe ill hold out and then get windows 7 at the time as well. If I build now ill have to buy a new xp oem cd as well :( This computer died and needed a reinstall a couple of weeks ago.

Grrrr... I wish they'd hurry up and release new stuff already! Imagine how slow it would be if there were no competition in the market.
