GeForce GTX 590 Key Features Revealed

The problem for CUDA is not AMD, it is Intel, Apple, ARM, Qualcomm and the rest of the gang that will push towards a open standard or in any case not nVidia's standard. CUDA has got no chance IMO.

In 5 years it will be dead, feel free to revive this thread to prove me wrong ;)

The thing i find hilarious is people's need to defend faceless companies to the end. Just get what works best for you, brand loyalty is ultimately retarded.

retarded indeed.....
i have no loyalty to either (i have had more amd cards in the past five years though but that doesnt mean anything) whatever is better at the time for me

The gaming performance doesn't seem to tie up at all with other sites that have shown the HD6990 vs the GTX580.

At the same settings (I have assumed that 1920x1080 on Anand is the same for the benchmarks shown above - they don't give ANY indication of settings so can only guess) Anand have shown the HD6990 to be 57% faster (89.4-56.9/56.9) yet on the benchmarks above it is only 27.8% faster (and producing MUCH lower framerates - heck Anand's minimum for this resolution is higher...).

I will wait for proper benchmark numbers I think.

Exactly the same for me here. My last Nvidia card was the trusty old 8800GT, which I still have running in a secondary S939 rig.

The numbers did look a tad fishy. Guess we'll wait and see how it turns out.
