Hi
I've installed a Geforce GTX1050 TI on a Gigabyte H81M-S2H (F2) Motherboard.
When i plug in the DVI to the GTX1050 TI all i get is a blank screen.
If i plug the DVI back into the built in motherboard and access device manager the GEforce GTX is listed but showing an exclamation mark!
I have downloaded the Geforce drivers and Experience but still unable to get the GTX to work.
It won't allow me to boot to the Bios either with the GTX when using the onboard graphics?
Perhaps the motherboard is incompatible with the GTX 1050 TI
Any help would be appreciated.

Update bios.

What psu do you have.

When you see the gpu under device manager dose it say windows detected a fault? I have this one time, no matter what I did everytime I loaded the rx480 in my case.. windows would disable it and tell me there was faults..

And lastly post up a photo of the gpu did you buy new or used and from a shop or site like ebay/amazon

The Graphics card has been taken from another PC which works fine in that one.

I have attached the GPU-Z links for both the built in Graphics and also the Nvidia Geforce 1050Ti

I notice in my Bios when i remove the 1050ti that i have a couple of options under "Peripherals"

Initial Display Output : IGFX or PCIe 1 Slot
XHCI Mode : Smart Auto / Auto / Enabled / Disabled /Manual
Intel Processor Graphics : Disabled or Enabled

Intel HD 4600 (Motherboard Graphics)

Could it be anything to do with UEFI as i notice that the Bios version is blank and the UEFI is unticked on the GPUZ screenshot for the Geforce 1050ti ?

Do you have a different gpu that you can test you motherboard with.

I would say try running DDU to uninstall all drivers but the gpu should work in bios no matter what drivers are in use.

Go into bios and do a full bios reset. The look for the options for primary display output and set it to pcie1.

Don't forget you sometimes have to change the settings on the Monitor and actually set it to DVI mode, sometimes its switched to HDMI or display port etc

There is an auto mode on most monitors but sometimes it could have been changed.

Otherwise agree with others, reset bios, reboot to bios menu and find the Initial display output to PCIe slot 1 making sure 1050ti is in slot 1

Only other thing I can think of which should not be the case is to switch onboard IGFX off and have it purely set to PCIe slot 1 and 1050ti.

If you do lose any display you can reset the bios via cmos jumper setting at least
