Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

No doubt that it is quite a significant step for NVidia, but of course how well it will scale down to the consumer gaming GPU's we will have to wait till latter to find out.

A 6* speed increase over Pascal for Ray tracing is certainly quite impressive, but it still hasn't answered the important question.

That is because Pascal has to do it software and Volta and Turing have the hardware do it with!
 

Roflmao. Most of the tech showed tonight, AMD has announced it since 2013 with the Hawaii GPUs!!!!!!! Hell AMD supports even sound rays since then also.

And all these AMD tech is open, anyone can use it even NVidia without strings attached. (even the new RadeonRays 2.0)
All the tech NV showed tonight is closed to their Turing GPUs only
