Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

This is such a bad time for GPUs. I would have upgraded to the 1080 last year if I had known the wait was this long. My 970 isn't maxing out 2018 titles or running at very high settings so its even more frustrating. I am not paying these prices for 2 year old tech.

At 1440p/60Hz, I was using a 290 when I tried the 970. Although the 970 had a higher FPS, it was worse due to stutter, so much so that I used the 290 more during the 6 month period before taking a refund(thanks OCUK). I then went to the 980Ti which was a great card, but with newer titles started to struggle to maintain 60 FPS. The 980Ti is now on my shelf beside a 7950 and a 290, replaced by a 1080Ti FTW3.

My main hobby is gaming, thus I have a Steam library of over 1,800 titles and around 150 oldies on GOG.
 
I wouldn't be at all surprised if release is 6 months away... or longer.

There seems to be no appetite to launch new products, either from red or from green.
