Surely all the leaked reports are good for us and put more pressure on nvidia? The more leaks that get published and discussed, the fewer 10xx cards get sold as people hold off and surely that'd prompt nvidia to take action sooner? Too naive a view?
Yes, too naive. It's the other way around. Pascal is probably EOL and they wait till they sold all pascals they have. If fewer people buy pascal, then selling these will take longer and the cards will come later. Nvidia won't just lower their pascals stocks price if they have no competition. We had June rumours for a launch before mining crashed. Probably Nvidia postponed Turing 2 months to get rid of the additional stock they got of pascal.
Link please. There will be no new graphics cards in 2 months. Nvidia's CEO himself said that next graphics cards will be 2019-2020 thing.
Which is still the month of July. Which is the month that's next to June. So, next month...It's a day before August.
Link please.
So he did not say 2019-20 then.
Nah fam. We're only just half way through 2018.But it is logical. 2018 quickly approaches its end. What else than 2019-2020 could it be?
Nah fam. We're only just half way through 2018.
I thought that is what you was referring to. They always deny any new products, they have old products to get rid of first, what did you expect? I would be extremely surprised if we do not get the new cards this year. Either way I picked up a 980Ti for a good price on members market to keep me going until they do come outhttps://www.theverge.com/circuitbre...ce-volta-turing-gpu-announcement-jensen-huang
Nvidia CEO says next gaming GPU announcement won’t be for ‘a long time’
Speaking to reporters at a roundtable in Taipei, Huang answered a query about the next GeForce GPUs by saying that “it's a long time from now.”
...he proposed that people should feel free to buy Nvidia's best GeForce GPUs — still the 1080 and 1080 Ti — now that prices have come down a little.
He wouldn't say this if something came in the next weeks.
Also, we are in mid 2018 now.
I would agree but you said something categorically false:Common sense says H2 2019 on 7nm next gen graphics cards. Until then, 7nm isn't ready yet for mass production.
Nvidia's CEO himself said that next graphics cards will be 2019-2020 thing.
I would agree but you said something categorically false:
It's already hard enough to tell what's fact and what's opinion even in the press, so let's try to be clear please.
https://www.pcworld.com/article/3278095/components-graphics/no-geforce-gpus-g-sync-bfgds-nvidia.htmlWhat is a “long time”
If you’re dejected you won’t have a GPU capable of driving a 4K 144Hz HDR panel, there is some hope. While the next GeForce won’t show up this week—and likely not at the big E3 gaming show next week—Huang was obviously being coy about its launch. A “long time” could honestly mean July or August, which is the current rumor.
But at this point, you might as well also guess September, October, November, and December, too. And then toss in 2019 to be safe.
So... Guess work. It says it right there...It isn't false. People agree with this:

"Common sense" doesn't say that all. Plus, opinions literally have no bearing on the truth or reality.Common sense says H2 2019 on 7nm next gen graphics cards. Until then, 7nm isn't ready yet for mass production.
And if it does come out in the next few months you are going to say "well he lied". lolYou, guys, are going silly. The CEO very clearly stated a long time. Next month or the month afterwards is everything but a long time.
kookoo.
