People kept asking him so he ended up saying that to make them stop. Guy has loads of old Pascal tech to sell at full prices, what did you expect? Does not mean it won't be out until 2020.

Or he could have just asked them to sign NDA, for those who want to have the information.
But there is no sign of any NDA - they just said No new GeForces.. And this is it.

We will see. I will eat my hat if he does not release those cards this year.

Well no, he said it was a long way off, but that's a very relative term. A long way off could mean two months. I'm still betting in Oct/Nov. But honestly I could easily be wrong.
