I’m looking at a1080 atm, I should buy something as I have the cash now and might not in a months time. I’m trying to hold out?

1070Ti's seem like the best value atm, just a few fps off a 1080 when both overclocked.

My thinking too, JF. And if I then choose to upgrade to the 1180 Ti (or whatever it'll be called) when it's released, I'll still see a nice bump in performance.

Whats there not to get? I have the money now. If I don't buy it now I'll be spending it on bills. I'm not rich. Money going to be tight after July, hence why I said it

Money doesn't 'disappear' if you don't spend it, save it, pay the bills, and maybe when the cards release you'll have some more money. High end graphics cards are a luxury item after all.

True, but not after July I won't.

It doesn't matter, I think I might just get a 1080. I see a few on offer pretty cheap on a few sites

The 1080 will still be a great card in 3 years time. Just try to find one which hasn’t been used for mining.

Might be waiting a while for something that beats the 1080ti yet. Even if the 1180 came, which it wont for a while then it's only going to be marginally faster than the 1080ti. It's not going to be such as big a leap. So i wouldn't bother selling your 1080ti until it's replacement comes.

You see that’s what I didn’t get; you’re spending money for bills on a luxury purchase that you can’t afford. I save up spare cash if I have it and purchase my equipment when I can.

Still don’t understand; I’d be paying my bills
