£499 and slower than a 1080 I bet
Ha! We won't see it that cheap! FEs seem to be the base price on the other RTX cards and the 2070s cost £570! Anyone buying this would likely be better off putting an extra £30 together and buying the 1080ti.

Disagree, 2080Ti wouldn't be much of a price difference.
Plus most people just try SLI once and they stay away from it as much as possible.
Was just on their site my msi has gone up to bear 1400 notes this is really bad was really looking forward to my new card .i wonder what the difference would be with the cheaper ones ...
£1,400 - 2080 Ti
Vs
£800 - 1070 Ti in SLI
Potential for same performance, with £600 saving. All I'm saying is it's an option worth considering...

I’d be very surprised if SLI 1070Ti’s were anywhere near a 2080Ti. Are they really?

If they scale well, yes. Remember that 2080 Ti is only 20% to 30% faster than a 1080 Ti. The problem of course is 'if' they scale well, which is a big if. You could make same comparison with 1080 non-Ti in SLI. Personally I prefer single card solutions, but at £1,400 for the 2080 Ti, I just think it needs to be recognised as an option because the poor value offered here.
Problem is it's hardly supported. Far Cry 5 despite being Sli ready was giving me something stupid like 15% boost with two 1070 Ti's . Both cards were being utilised but around 55% each only. At some point either a game update or driver update ruined Sli.If they scale well, yes. Remember that 2080 Ti is only 20% to 30% faster than a 1080 Ti. I really don't need any siginficant form of AA given how sharp 4k is, so DLSS at 4k becomes redundant (even though it's nice tech).
Yeah, and the ray tracing will be a no go on it, as wont get anywhere near 60fps at 1080p, as the much faster Ti can't![]()
