Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

What's laughable is you can buy an Xbox one X, a 4k TV, a years Netflix, Amazon Prime, Xbox Gold, Xbox Game Pass and still have change for a kebab and beers for the price of a 2080ti hahahaha

Whats worse is that Palit card. Imagine paying £1400 for a 2 slot 2 fan card then 2 years and 1 day in it goes poof and it's value plummets to £0.

At this point I'd guess almost any card that comes into stock will jump to £1400, except for the more expensive cards, they'll jump even more .

Rip off prices yet people are paying it, last time I seen gouging to this level was the fury X launch, but that launched with around a dozen cards in the UK and limited availability for ages. These cards seem to be coming in with decent numbers yet the claws are still getting dug in.

Are you old enough for the beers?

Nah I'll get some old geezer like you to buy then for me Greg, or maybe I'll just drink your tears, you seem bitter ;)

For what it's worth I'm in my 40's, you don't have to reply to my posts, I know your salty about me, use the ignore function and save some face instead of replying to me and looking like a Muppet all the time.

I don't do salty, I will just go and game on my 2080Ti, whilst you are not :D Hahaha (now I look 12) hahaha

People on the Nvidia forums aren't too happy, some of them seem to have got a shipping date of 5th October for their FE card while others haven't heard anything. They contact Nvidia cs they tell them to get in touch with "digital river" who handles Nvidias UK store, they get in touch with them and they tell them to get in touch with Nvidia.:o

Seen a post there saying there's allegedly a problem with gddr6 which is hampering production, doesn't make much sense seeing as the 2080 also uses it with no obvious issues

I look forward to seeing the strix ti prices when they finally land in stock. Considering every other card has "appreciated" in value ( gouged ) by up to £300, that puts these at £1750-£1800.

pricing is insanity. We were all moaning at the £800 Ti’s. Now people are ordering the new cards for nearly twice the price without a second thought :p.

That would be 3 times more than what i paid for my 1080ti brand spanking new. Im laughing so hard right now.. never thought that the day would come where i could say with a straight face that the deal i made on my 1080ti was a good one.. :D

Total farce to say the least, we've reached an all new peak in the ridiculous pricing stakes, retailers slapping on £300 to an already stupidly priced card (just because they can) and people paying it. I'd love to hear the supposed rationale for these increases, though I suspect it probably has a touch of jackanory to it.

Said it before and I'll say it again, just about every single GPU launch there seems to be a convenient set of circumstances in place just so retailers can ratchet away on the price. It's got beyond a joke at this point.

OCUK store can't be working. I checked earlier and there were 8 in stock. I checked again now and still 8?
I'd be tempted to buy one at FE money, even though it looks harry cheapy compared to it :D.
