Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

I'm getting 5% from Nationwide.
Is that up to a certain amount? Fixed time? Obviously a savings account. That looks pretty good - I must look at them myself.
I run a business and get 0.85 on one business savings account and something like 1.45% using a 1 YR bond, due to mature in Nov. The business current account pays zilch.
You've reminded me I need to do something with personal accounts - ta. I'm with First Direct. Great service but their rates are as bad as those from the parent company (HSBC) - rubbbbish.

Ooo nvidia 2080 ti shipping status just changed to processing, allow 1-2 business days.
I'm getting 'your visa credit card could not be processed.'' with the NVIDIA store.
By coincidence (?) my EK block has shipped today (ahead of estimate).

Sorted- now 'Processing (ALLOW 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS)'. Take my money.

OCUK have a few zotac amps in stock, this time only £150 more than anywhere else...
Yeah, I picked up an 1080ti earlier from a competitor (was same price on OcUK) just because of tactics like that.
I know Business is gonna Business, but no need for it really.
Even though I have no interest in 2080ti, It sucks that those that do are being screwed over like that.
So I stuck it to the man by going elsewhere :) with my drop in the ocean purchase.
every little helps

Good man, the prices are bad enough without the opportunistic pricing.

I'd rather no one bought any Nvidia cards until they learn a lesson but not paying inflated prices is the next best thing.

Giga-rays at the ready.. (supposing you own tomb raider:p)

Microsoft began rolling out Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) through its regular update channels. The update introduces several improvements to the operating system's user interface, expand on its Timeline features that let you pick up your work where you left off, and comes with a boatload of under the hood performance improvements relevant to PC enthusiasts and gamers. These include the latest update to DirectX that adds DirectX Ray-tracing API features (DXR), the latest version of WDDM, and native HDR standards management settings via Display Settings. To get it, simply make Windows check for updates.

Unless a driver update from nv is also needed..

Something that bugged me about the 2080 launch was the lack of HDMI 2.1 support, I see Samsung TV's with support for 4k 120hz Freesync 2.0 (part of the 2.1 standard) are coming soon, I guess this screws with nvidia's gsync BFG push so no HDMI 2.1 for us.
