that zotac card must be ugliest card I have ever seen. That overhanging heat sink, what is going on.

The yet to be released AORUS extreme 2080Ti looks very nice. These manufacturers need new designs teams they are terrible. The EVGA hard is hideous with the flimsy plastic housing and that metal fan addon. The ASUS and MSI card are ok but been done before.

Nothing wrong with an overhanging heatsink, it maximises the surface area of the fins and can help give better temps. Only overhangs an inch or so anyway, doubt you would even notice it in a case.

It's a sidegrade coming from a 1080Ti. Anything else is an upgrade... the value of that depends exactly what you're coming from and what games you play. It's going to be different for everyone. Even from a 1080Ti, we MAY see a situation months from now where a 2080 pulls ahead, especially if devs can figure out ray tracing and get that working smoothly. The 1080Ti is maxed out... it's as good as it's ever going to get. Same can't be said for 2080... not yet anyway. It can't even definitively be said that it's a senseless purchase coming from a 1080Ti... it's just a rather risky one if none of the RTX features pan out, and yeah if that happens ultimately it could be senseless.

Quite disgusted by the price hiking from Ocuk to be honest, though not unexpected, havn't bought here for quite some time. Leaves a bad taste especially considering these cards are already ridiculously overpriced.

They're just doing what any sensible business would do. The question is who in their right mind is happy to pay? That's what gets me. OCUK are just responding to demand, but it takes people willing to pay over the odds for this practice to continue... and clearly there are plenty.

Maybe so, but the fact remains there are plenty of other places getting the same cards in stock and not price gouging. We obviously have options but it gets a bit annoying when we hear about all these supposed "reasons" for price hikes, but see other places with the same product from likely the same supplier with no gouging applied. Apparently all these "reasons" for price hikes somehow only apply to ocuk and not other places with the same products in stock.

Vote with your wallet obviously applies.

Customer choice. If companies raise their prices and people can’t google in 30 seconds and save £200 more fool them :p
 
I guess its today. Says at driver has delivery route. Parcel force. Was collected in milton keynes yesterday. My nvidia order status only changed this morning.
 
Delivered at 1326 today.
Although it took a long time for the card, the wait isn't over. My waterblock preorder was delayed and hasn't arrived yet, so ill just read the box tonight :D
