Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

If this is the case, then that sort of puts a blow to the argument that the 2080Ti has taken the Titan spot to validate the price bracket.
It'll be called something other than Titan :D.
I'm not sure many were expecting the 2080 Ti to be the only top end card? Each gen has had a Titan for a while now.I reckon Titan T will slot in at the top, possibly after a little shuffle downwards of the current cards in pricing, but IMO will be something like £1400+.
The 20 series are aimed at gaming/professional use too so the Titan T will probably follow trend of Titans now being separated out from Geforce and aimed at professionals but of course will also be bought by gamers.

we know theres something more powerful coming as the 2000 series cards naming is messed up going off of previous generation performance leaps the ti is the 2080 and the 2080 should be the 2070. so yeah there should be a couple of titans coming out down the line, and il say it again £2k although the way some ti prices are going that could be £3k now.

I think they're just doing things differently this time due to the size of the die, new tech ad a change to what they're aiming for moving forward (not just FPS). I suspect the 2080 Ti will be the only top end card lower than a Titan anyway, unless they release a Tii or something at some point to slot in between them (unlikely).
As I think someone at OCUK mentioned, the Titan has sold in significant numbers previously, so NV probably realise they can make something else slot in even higher up the price range.
Even if they realised two Titans it doesn't necessarily mean the have shuffled the names up one. It's an entirely different approach this time. Ti still has the odd 11 GB memory, 2080 and even the 2070 has the same memory as Ti.People like things comparable I suppose, nicely aligned :), hence I do think NV should have changed the naming scheme completely this time, to stop people thinking "this GPU should be that card last gen"

Found stock of a few cards now but none that are sub 290mm unfortunately.

Just going to have to wait it out until availability sorts itself out I think. Either that or Nvidia start taking orders on the FE Ti’s again. Pain in the bum. :(

I hear that. Gouging is going on big time everywhere but not as bad as OcUK. where I ordered from and they were good enough to knock a bit off for the delay on my order

Did anyone manage to get a pre order from EVGA for the FTW3 Ultra? Looks mental next to the XC Ultra, 1755MHz boost clock, 19 power phases vs 13 in the FE and has a 50% power limit with a 250w base https://m.imgur.com/a/0BYAGVW

I am tempted to just wait for general availability of this.
