Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

If it makes any difference, I’m not logged into the store. Stock only showing to those logged in maybe?

Nope, shows whether i am logged in or not.

You guys are looking at the Gaming OC version right? The other Gigabyte one (windforce) does show as a pre-order.

I've just checked on 3 different machines, shows as pre-order on two of them but switched on a 3rd and it shows as in stock, no amount of cache clearing or changing browsers gets it to show as in stock on the other 2, not logged in on any of them

I was just about to do the same thing. It's changed to the 26th now! Can't believe how little stock there is.

Twice that website has pushed the Gigabyte models back. It was originally the 14th, they've had 0 stock overall and I was told by two MSI employees that the website in question aren't very good and not worth preordering from. Had a preorder with them for 5 weeks now and still nothing and zero information, it's a shambles.

Well, no idea whats going on with OCUK and their stock. I asked yesterday for them to ship me a Gigabyte Gaming OC (as they had it in stock yesterday) instead of the MSI Duke Ti I ordered on day of announcement back in August. They said they could change the order but I would have to pay the difference (+£350 from the price of my original Duke Ti order) despite it being an equivalent (or arguably lesser) card. I've used OCUK for about 20 years but this is pretty disappointing behaviour along with all the price gouging.

I just ordered a MSI Trio card (an upgrade) for £1050 from another site and they've already dispatched it same day. Sad to think that OCUK won't be my first choice in future.

I have been looking a lot. I couldn't find any Trio Ti's anywhere!

When are people going to get it though their heads that they only care about your money? We live in a different world to 20 years ago, heck even 10 years ago. OCUK still have the antiquated practice of taking your money as soon as you pre-order, which is joke when they keep pushing dates further and further out.

An in stock 2080Ti MSI Trio for £1050?? Mmmm... I'd be worried I'd been scammed.

Indeed, it's a dumb practice and if you change your mind you have to wait around 5 days or so for it to show up in your account again. With places like amazon its only taken when the order is ready to go.

Unfortunately all the retailers who had pre orders up on pre order date are like this. I managed to whack in 3 orders for the three cards from somewhere that doesn't take your money until dispatch, I've cancelled one now that I've got a date on two and will cancel the second once I've received the first. That retailer is now guaranteed my cash and I will get my card Monday. I've ordered a card from each of the 3 who show up as Nvidia partners on the Nvidia site (here included) at various points in my quest to get a card delivered. If any of them didn't take cash instantly and waited for dispatch, I could have put multiple orders in, I'd have a card by now and they'd have my cash.

If you've ordered from the site I'm thinking of you aren't going to get the GPU. I checked the trustpilot reviews and they had a 1 star rating.
