Nice if they dropped the price,but its also cunning too. By not dropping the price and giving away freebies,you can maintain pricing tiers and maintain the value of older products too.

at those wattage level they must have good PPW gains over pascal and or leaving themselves room for a bigger 250w class chip as for the 120w class stuff I hope its BS but we shall see

By "120 W card" do they mean the GTX 1170? If so, those prices are bonkers. MSRP up from $380 to $500 in a single generation? People will still eat it up though, sadly.

Also you mean $249/$299 to $499 - the GTX1060 is a 120W TDP class GPU,so the GTX1060 replacement has doubled in price - apparently. Just look at the die size and salvage level. Now if the 120W TDP class is a salvaged 500MM2+ GPU it might be understandable,but if its well under 400MM2,then its taking the mickey.

Having said that be careful - its Wccftech. Remember,how many times they mentioned the "beast mode" 1600MHZ RX480 cards.

The 120w (1060 variant) is going to up in price by 100%.
The 150w (1070 variant) is going up by 33%
The 180w variant is going up by 7%

So a 1160 would cost £460+ and a 1080 would drop to £400

Yes because that seems totally realistic.

Don't believe a word of it, guess work at its best.

We really liked Elim also. Not sure about if the best, but he sure was very good.

My guess, for what it's worth.

The 1180:-

If they do a founders Edition, it will be $749. The normal cards will be $649. Will drop to $549 when the 1180Ti is released.

The 1170:-

Founders Edition: $499, normal edition: $449.

The 1160:-

Top Variant: $349, Lower Variant: $249

The 1080Ti will be $799.

Prices listed come with the usual thing that some of the AIB cards will be cheaper than the prices listed and some will be more expensive.

Not sure I want to wait another 12 months. Will likely grab a 1170 to keep me happy between now and 7nm cards.
