Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

Gigabyte, rep stated they dont mind it- just dont damage/scratch anything as if card does fail- they can pull this up . evga can do the same . to be honest, any vendor that doesn't use warranty stickers you could get away with it

Thanks for the feedback Orbital. will prob and try and stick with one of those two when the new cards launch - only thing now will be price... and I can start planning the water cooling solution.

No, it was at least like that yesterday... as I was looking for warranty details.
I checked it first thing this morning on my way in to the city on the train and the page was still up. It went down some time this morning. Not saying the new page wasn't up just saying the old page still worked (I had it open in my browser and check it first thing every morning to make sure the new cards don't sell out before I get a chance to buy 2).

Hopefully that wont affect us and the cards will be shipped direct to us.

but hell, who am i kidding, it probably will because any excuse to charge us more, and if the us got a 25% price hike, why wouldnt they still keep the 1£ to 1$ rrp intact :(

If these 'new' cards are Volta-based then I'm personally going to be quite disappointed, Volta feels old already...

edit - If the 7nm refresh isn't too far behind I think I'll be waiting (unless I get a really good deal and it doesn't cost me much to switch from the Ti)

I'm certainly in no hurry to buy a 12FF card now.

This new tax takes effect on August 23, 2018. Pretty much if you spend 500 USD on hardware, it would now cost your 625 USD. If you reside in other parts of the globe like EU, this has no effect on you as long as the product do not need to be cross-imported though the USA.

From the article. ;)
