Geforce GTX260 core 216 GPU temp

Hello All,

I recently bought most of a system from OCUK and have to say I'm very pleased with the result, my order hadn't left the warehouse the day before it was due so i called and spoke to a very nice guy who upgraded my processor (due to mine being sold out) and got it all moving. So massive thanks to OCUK.

My question is that I'm running speedfan and it's showing that my GPU is at about 65 degrees after heavy load. Both my CPU cores are in low 40's so I wanted to check whether this was common and or damaging to the GPU?

sounds fine to me, My Evga 260 216 SSC @ 730 - 1500 - 1203 idles at 46 and load at 66

The GTX 260 has an operating temp of 78°C... below this, the card typically holds back on the fan speed rather than worrying about temperature.

Mine idles in the mid 40's with the fan running a 40% and load temps are in the 60's.

gfx cards typically run a lot hotter than cpu's.

40% pretty much silent - 50% can just be heard and is what I have mine set at.

Up to 50% its practically silent, at 60% it can be heard slightly over the rest of my case fans. Overall I could say that the XFX 260 Black edition's fan is quiet enough and does a great job at keeping the card cool.

My fan has never spun up as it only ever gets to around 60°C. Whats everyone's Clocks on these cards? Maybe we could get a thread going.
