GeForce now on a laptop

CPU 8c/8t Ryzen CPU
Ram 28gb
GPU RTX 3060
Which verson have you got?

This is with performance, games are Broken arrow, ashes of the singularity and doom.

Tbf the GeForce Now was for my sister and she only really pays light games it was just her 2050 laptop was starting to struggle. She not complained ones says it was perfectly

I signed up to Ultimate to try it out, playing Indy and the golden circle it was reporting I was running a 5080 with almost 60Gb VRAM :D so it can handle better settings than my actual 5080 :( and certainly better than my 5050 of course :D laptop was pulling ~15-25w driving 4k/144 with HDR and the game was streaming about 120fps@4k, lots of bandwidth over wifi still seemed solid, pretty impressive really. Should put laptop in power saver mode it'd probably be lower.

Nice results.

If you run in browser mode, you loose resolution but power draw should be noticeably less.

I'm not too bothered for the laptop really, battery is not a concern with 90Wh battery, life is measured in days with my general use :D its just an option, my interest really was how well Ultimate performed in the front room on the higher tier, I don't have any machines in there and a nice big telly it works really well pair with Dual sense but I can't seem to get 4k120 with HDR despite everything on the web saying LGs should do it on my screen.

VRAM is obviously dynamic playing PAX 117 the VRAM is only 48Gb......Only :D

On the laptop side it was quite annoying to discover that I only get Gsync VRR via HDMI and not via displayport/usbC as one will only do 4k/60 or 1440p/144 whereas the other will do 4k144, I guess that is what comes of having low end non gamer laptop with no Optimus. All fine on the laptop screen I suppose.

What model TV do you have? I have the B4 and can't get 120 on the webOS app as the system update hasn't come through, and no updates from either Nvidia or LG..

Quality service though, I do like that I'm not putting any battery/thermal strain on my own laptop compared to running natively

I have a 77C5 ( or do I ..... might be a C4 I can't remember :o , think I cheaped out and bought the older model after holding out for the C5/G5 :D ) and a G4, neither can do it, I mean it is still great that it can do 4k/60 but you want all the framerate and HDR on these screens really.

Do you still have the X1 Pro, GFN would be lovely on that, my Super X should come next month finally that should have a nice screen for portable gaming at 14, though its heavier than my Gram all in..... :D I do wonder if Strix Halo will trump my laptop 5050.

I've been doing Artemis and Apollo to my other machines via my gaming desktop, this works really well, really low latency and great performance but of course the desktop is chugging down 600w :D
