So this service comes with RTX 30xx GPUs, but I don't understand what use it is. If you bought a powerful GPU you will play locally. Why stream it? Can someone please explain the use cases for it?
You can use your phone or tablet to stream games and play when in another room, maybe on the go, etc. Not as easy to carry around the desktop with you!
What if I want to play a game on the TV in the living room? That's two flights of stairs to lug thousands of quids worth of hardware down.
Or I could just connect a crappy PC to the TV and stream from my good one
Just look at it as those services PLUSAnd same for this, Gamestream/Moonlight/Steam's in home streaming just seem like better bets and if you have something connected to your TV that can use GeForce Now you'll also be able to use them.
Can't speak to that one but I can tell without a doubt that GFN puts Steam's version to complete shame, and is even better than Parsec overall (that one's somewhat more responsive, but had more compression artefacts). Plus, with GFN you're not running your own PC so less elec consumption & less mileage on the parts. And it's just way easier overall when you're on the go to get into it than with your own PC, where you usually still need to be able to access the PC to troubleshoot issues which - trust me, are abundant with game streaming from your own PC.But surely just using Nvidia's own GameStream would provide a better experience just staying on your local network rather than going via the internet?
