Hi there,
I've been going through a load of old PC parts and trying to make computers out of them (It really is amazing what you can scavenge for free these days if you're in the IT trade). However there's one thing that's confused me. I've dug up a Leadtek/Winfast GeForce MX400, which as I remember when I last used it (that particular card, not just another one the same make and model), it was getting fairly solid 3D Mark 2001 scores (Somewhere between 3000 and 6000) on a P3 1GHz system with 256MB of RAM. at one point between then and now I did the same benchmarks on another MX400 and got much lower scores. Now, I've been doing a little tinkering this time around and I've descovered that the STANDARD clocks on that card are 200MHz core and 286MHz memory. Obviously this is a bit special because they're nearer 200 and 200 in real life. What I want to know is if this is totally unique, or is it just an incorrect card that is really a GT,GTS or an Ultra and has anyone else come across this before.
