I recently bought some GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra, All seems well, aside from when I run CPU-z which shows that it is running at 2t command rate.
1. Any ideas why, i'm running the memory at 4-4-4-12 at 2.1V with only the dual channel memory installed.

2. Is there anyway of changing the memory command rate on a Gigabyte 965P DS3 motherboard?

Many thanks

not sure about the motherboard, but pushing it to 1T *might* be possible, the only way you will be able to see is by changing it, then if it doesnt crash or freeze, you can use MemTest to stability test.

please dont blame me if it blows up in your face though. as far as i can see the GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 is good overclocking RAM, however i dont have either it or the board myself, so i cant state first hand what it can or cant do. Check:

Your memory is running fine, as Intel chipsets do not support 1T command rate. Only Nvidia 680 and 650 based chipsets can run with 1T timings, but even then your RAM isn't guaranteed to run 1T stable, and in my experiance with the Geil (which isn't good) I'd highly doubt they'd run 1T at all.
