Geil 8GB 1600MHZ DDR3 on offer

Does anybody know if this will be suitable for use in an Asus P5KC motherboard which has 4 DDR2 and 2 DDR3 slots. I'd like to scrap my DDR2 and go to DDR3 if it is supported?

I was looking at this as well with the same motherboard. Currently got 2gb of some geil ddr2, I want to get 4gb ddr3 but don't know what, looking at about 40 quid. Haven't bought ram in ages.

I see no reason why it wont work in your board, similar set b Gkill gets some interesting posts HERE

Thinking of getting this for an AM3 setup as its a great price.

The motherboard manual states that you may install 256MB, 512MB, 1GB and 2GB Dimms (sections 2.4.2).

It may not work with 2x4GB.
